Soybeans
Soybeans originated in southeast Asia approximately 1100 B.C. It's an edible bean, rich in nutrients with many uses, most commonly for human consumption, in fact the soybean has officially been declared a cholesterol-lowering food by the Food and Drug Administration. Along with soy based foods, soybeans are also found in animal feed, biodiesel, disinfectants, metal, soap, shampoo, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and more.
